What Was Your Life Like Before Your Transformation?

It was hard. I was never confident in myself or my abilities to make friends or pursue sports that I loved.

My turning point would be my senior year of high school when I tore my ACL. I was in my fourth game of the season and was running the football when I got horse collared and heard my knee pop. When I was rehabbing my knee after surgery I would play around doing my other
muscle groups. Once I seen results happening I became addicted and you couldn’t pull me away from the gym then.

What Were Your Major Struggles or Challenges?

My major struggles during this period was keeping the motivation to continue. It was hard with such a fast metabolism to pack on the weight I wanted. But every once in a while someone would say it looked like I was growing and that was all it took!

Detail Your Workout and Cardio Plan During Your Transformation

When I started I didn’t know to much so I’d go off of the basic lifts I found online. Once I started getting used to it I made my own thing.

I’d do legs on Monday because unlike everyone else they were my favorite! Then chest Tuesday, back Wednesday, shoulders Thursday, and finally just a separate day for arms. My cardio plan didn’t really apply because I was already so skinny.

Detail Your Diet/Eating Plan During Your Transformation

My eating plan at first was just whatever I could get my hands on. I was trying to stuff down as many calories as possible. But as I grew it slowly shifted from junk foods to the great bodybuilding meals of tasteless chicken and my carbs usually being either rice or sweet
potatoes, then my greens usually either broccoli or green beans.

Detail Your Supplement Plan During Your Transformation

Back PosePeople at my gym recommended me to take pre-workout to intensify my workouts so I went and bought some cheap stuff I didn’t know to much about. It really helped with more energy! Especially on days when I’d get out of school and all I wanted to do was sleep! Then I got protein. Always either whey or casein for bedtime.

What Was Your Major Accomplishment, or Major Milestones?

When I first started working out my max on bench press was 165. I finally got my max to 215 and just didn’t ever think I’d be able to get 225. Well my buddy loaded the bar with different weights than 45’s so I didn’t know it was 225 and asked me to do it.

When I asked how much it was he told me 205 so I thought oh this will be easy. I unracked it and ended up doing it for three reps. He started grinning and told me it was 225 and I flipped out! I broke a mental barrier without even knowing it. That would be one of my great achievements so far.

Detail Your 3 Biggest Mistakes

  1. Listening to other people compare themselves to you. There was a bodybuilder in my gym that always thought he had to put his two cents in when it came to me. Every time I thought I did something great he was there to tell me he was better. The moment I realized he was
    jealous of me was awesome.
  2. Following other people’s workout plans. This is a touchy subject because sometimes they help to change things up. But me I like to mix in some things that really get me. Everyone’s
body is different and you gotta find what’s best for yours.
  3. My third would be a moment in my time where I half did everything. Wasn’t really motivated and was hard to find motivation after some things happened in my life. I wanted all the results I was asking for but didn’t want to put in the time or effort that was required.
Needless to say that changed real quick once I realized.

3 Biggest Things You Learned During Your Transformation?

  1. You know your body better than anyone else. Don’t let people tell you to do more or less unless you want to.
  2. There’s always gonna be people to put you don’t. You just have to look past them.
  3. Always believe in yourself, never lose focus, and always look toward the future instead of the past.

Final Words of Advice for Others Looking to Make a Change?

Just don’t give up. People who are successful always hit rough spots on their lives. The ones that are here today are the ones that kept pushing forward when everything was trying to drag them down. Make goals because without a goal you’re setting yourself up to fail.

Find someone who motivates you to do better whether it’s a friend or celebrity. Motivation is key.
